Words

I’ve been waiting to write this post for some time now. Sorry for the delay. It’s been busy lately.

So I recently forgot a word. You wouldn’t think it’d be much of a problem because how much does one word matter in the face of things, right? I mean, it wasn’t even an important word. Yet I needed to use it twice in one day an both times I couldn’t remember what the word was.

It’s a fruit and one of my favorite scents and its pinkish red and it reminds me of grapefruit and it starts with the letter p.

For some reason, the only word I could think of was Papaya. And I do NOT like the smell of papaya. So, when my friend asked me (randomly) what my favorite scent was, I couldn’t properly answer her. And its not like I can look up “pinkish red fruit smells good” and get the answer I wanted.

So I was stuck.

And then that night I made my wishlist page and I wanted to mention that I liked the smell of pomegranates. BUT I COULDN’T.

It hit me later that night in the shower.

POMEGRANATES.

It’s a little late now, but just so you know, I like the smell of pomegranates.

Moral of the story? Every word is important. Take time today to appreciate words that might be feeling neglected. Like quadrangle and bobble. (See what I did there, Gigi?)
